Stupid Breed Question

Well, they do have similar stances, but here are a few key differences.

1. Seramas are supposed to look like this: (thanks, Ondra's Seramas!)

2. Japs are a little bit bigger, I believe. Seramas can be as small as 2 lbs!

That's all I can tell you for now, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along soon!

They are 2 diferent breeds of chicken.Check Feathersite for more.Other name forJaps is Chabo

By the way, the only "stupid" question is the one that doesn't get asked.

Ideal size for a serama is 14 oz, 2 oz less than a pound! They are disqualified if they are over 16.8 oz.

I do not know much about japs, but if you get a pic of a good quality chabo and a good quality serama, they do look different. And the japs are bigger and built lower to the ground.
