those stupid little birds i think they are finches are always getting in the coop. they drive me insane!

Massive quantities of sparrows in my coops!

They steal food and leave mites behind. Only answer is hardware cloth.

I put bird netting over my run, high enough for me to walk beneath it (just barely). That keeps the sparrows out (and flying predators from getting my chickens). It's a large run (well, *I* think it is, anyway) so I had to buy the 14 ft by 100 ft roll of it - at Home Depot. Cost me 40 bucks, but well worth it.
