The fact is the dog COULD be injured if it's being allowed to just run & if it's actually got someone else's chicken in it's mouth then it's allowed to run long enough for it to at least get shoot for real....

Goldens they ARE smart aren't they? Almost TOO smart some times & the one I have here when I try to teach her something it's almost like you can see her mind spinning the thought "Oh ok so this lady wants me to give HER another lesson in something". I swear it's a meeting of the minds. I once *very lightly* checked this dogs leash while trying to teach her to heal & she was SO shocked & *insulted* & after instead of walking too far away she would walk literally leaning into my left leg so as not to be any where that leash could snap like that again. LOL she's just a darlin really. But I'd never leave her with my chickens.
