Stupid question but..whats a good ratio to make a small batch of fermented feed?

Good question - there is a whole thread on fermented feed. I am a just trying it too. From what I learned so far - 4 cups of feed, 1 cup of acv and some people mentioned kicken chicken or brown sugar- I used 1/3 cup of molasses and mixed in water until all the feed was saturated and a little water was on top. Maybe 6 cups of water? But this is my first batch and I could not seem to get a recipe. The sugar in the molasses will help fermentation process. For me I am comparing it to a bread starter or sour dough starter. As the feed absorbs the water I may add more. It is right now the consistency of heavy wet cement.
