Yes you can cuddle with them. I wouldn't hold them for too long or they may get chilled, especially at first.

Visit mother? Again, bring a heat lamp.. they need heat for the first few weeks.

A duck hat would be splended!

Yes- you can cuddle your ducks, that's the best part of having fuzz butts. They'll let you know if they get cold.
I don't really recommend bringing ducky for visits with grandma just yet, unless you're traveling with brooder in tow.
Don't you know baby ducks are slimming on everyone???

So cute ... lol ...
In my limited experience with ducks, they are much more temperature hardy than chicks ... however, how cold is your house and how long do you plan on cuddling

It still probably wouldn't be a great idea for too long ... Also, do you have a suitable container to take him to your mom's house? Little ducks make BIG messes, especially in small spaces! BTW, congratulations on your new little duck! Can you post a picture?
My experience with ducks is limited, so maybe someone else could chime in?

well, lets see, i have a basket with a hot water bottle, covered in my best fuzzy top, thats for when i have to leave the room
for cuddling, i stick them down my top, hee hee, i have 3 ducklings, but one pipped backwards and is still in the recovery chamber the other two sleep in my bra today, was so funny, my man said i finaly have a D cup, haha
as for traveling i wont be doing it till saterday, and will do it with a heat blanket
my little guys had there first meal this morning, the sick chick ate two with some help
so, im delighted all are doing well,
