do the emu and rheas eggs be the same colour?

And d all the young look the same can you tell what they are when you have them all together?

I was at the local fleamarket long long ago 94 I think and they had baby ostritches they were not little a... ok litle meaning just hatched boy I don't know bare with me they were about as talk as me but told they were young 6 months??? the were spotted not having the adult feathers. I for get how old they were. but a.. I reckon I am searchng to know how nuch they weigh and how to tell what they are and ow old they are.

I am learning about chickens yet and I see this I thought maybe to learn more of these types.

The people here I wonder do you eat your birds a.. anyof your flock I don't know how to word this and not offend anyone.

I keep mine as pets, but their main attraction in the states was for meat production....
Emu, Rhea & ostrich chicks all look different... easily told apart from each type.
Ostrich lay very very big round shaped creamy yellow colored eggs the largest of the ratites , Grown birds get up to 500lbs or so and males can become deadly during breeding season etc...
Emu lay a teal colored egg "egg" shaped egg with Black speckles all over. Emu grow to 125 lbs or so, males are often kept as better pets then females. they can become very friendly
Rheas lay a smaller yellow "egg' shaped egg than emu, they tend to be flightier and males can be aggressive during breeding season.
Males sit on the eggs and raise chicks.

do all of this type sit on the egg or do the female do it I know of ostrithces (male do the sitting) ut is that the norm??

My husband was to bring me a emu egg from somewhere he had cut grass this is before I had chickens but he for got it I said I wonder if it was fertile he said it could be but how in the world would I of incubated no emus does I have not inculbator neither and to put it in the oven well it would cook the little one IF it had a chance I don't know where it was in anything if chicken or just fertile. I don't think I could of could I?
