It does seem like a lot of $ but I purchased mine almost 8 years ago and I have had no problems with it at all! I believe they are worth the $. I paid $500 for mine but I have seen them as low as $400 on sale.

We got the Dyson back when it was still a new fangle idea. We paid almost $700 for purple monster back then.

The Dyson is worth every penny.

My g.f. has a Dyson that she loves, but I was reading a post somewhere, don't think it was on here. . .but the guy who knew his vacs said it can cost up to $400 to fix something on them if they go bad . . .anyone know anything about that? I have an Oreck, and like it fine, but want something different. I think that Dyson with the ball looks interesting. Bet its $600!!

I'm still trying to figure out why WalMart is "stupid" for not carrying a Sear's Kenmore brand of belt.

I have a Kenmore vac that I wouldn't trade for anything- it was a $125.00 canister vac, and when I do make the 45 mile trip, one way, I stock up on bags and a couple belts. Though I have yet to replace a belt, in 5 years! I have 4 right now.

I've had two vaccuums and they just spit it out everywhere and that is why I do not have them. I have been using a broom with a towel attactment. It works good but all those dust bunnies in corners, nope, you have to take a brush and pan to get thru the nooks. I got a mind to use hubby's shop vac LOL!
