Lordy...I would be devastated after all the work I've put into my garden. That surprises me that it drops THAT low in your area this late in the year...

I sure feel for you! Seems like spring/summer is never coming and we have gone right back to fall/winter

This past weekend - it snowed all weekend, nothing stuck but still cold, windy and snow.

My garden has not even started cause we have not come out of freezing nights yet - I break ice off of waters every morning.

garden update:
it's now 35 degrees warmer in less than 10 hours, supposed to go up another 5-7 degrees. seriously, from 29-82 in the same day?

doesn't look like a total loss after all but still not good...

Tomatoes - 9 dead, 7 might make it
Peppers - 6 dead, 2 struggling
Cucumbers - all lost;
Squash - 2 dead, 5 doing fair;
ground crops and greens seem fine but shocked.
beans hadn't sprouted yet.

sigh.

Wow - you all have some cold nights. I am in Alaska and it is nice and warm (40 - 50) at night here!

I always plant on May 15th and sometimes loose a plant or two to frost. This year I lost 2 marigolds, which is not bad considering I planted 500 - 600 plants.
