Subscription probelems

I have noticed that since you changed/updated your website, that every time I post on a thread it automatically subscribes, and every time I click "unsubscribe" under the thread it will resubscribe every time I post again!

I've tried changing it in my subscription preferences, changing it in my "subscriptions" [located underneath the word "private messages" ] in my dialog on my profile, and on the thread itself, but every time I post again it resubscribes!

Thanks, same problem here, plus I am getting email notifications when others post on those threads, even though my preference is set to site only notifications. Disconcerting as they come to my cell phone at all hours.

The auto-subscription should be fixed and set properly now. If you are subscribed to threads which you do not want to be subscribed to, you can remove from the subscription emails or from your subscriptions page: https://www.backyardchickens.com/users/subscriptions/

I unsubscribe there too, but everytime I post again it resubscribes. I can't stop it.

We're looking into it. I've also unsubscribed you from the the threads you were subscribed to. Hopefully that will help.

I have not received any subscriptions or pm notifications (since Oct 26th I think). I contacted my ISP but they put the blame on BYC.
I know you looked into it before and found they were getting bounced back. It was fixed for a while but the problem is back.

Suebee, it looks like your ISP was bouncing emails from us. There are a lot of reasons this can happen, but it's unfortunately something ewe can't control. The emails are getting to your ISP, but we are getting errors that they aren't delivering them.

We'll try to push them through again and hopefully that will help. Make sure your ISP whitelists our domain and IP (which they should be able to get from any of the emails you've received in the past)

Thanks Rob, I'll contact my ISP again in the morning. This may take a more skilled tech rather than the "first" CS rep that told me nothing could be done on their end.
