so for the first time tonight, my 6 week chicks put themselves to bed... and by 8 pm no less... I was flabergasted and then thrilled!! Then once they saw me coming they all promptly came back out of the coop!!

Now to figure out how to get to the door without them seeing me.

Thats hilarious, I remember doing that with my children and the same thing would happen (out of their bed not the coop lol)

we're heading on vacation to Vermont, so they won't be out of their coop for 9 days.... hopefully they won't forget how it's done

Thankfully we have a great chicken sitter!

I was thrilled when my babies put themselves to bed the other day. but it did not happen the next day, but it did not take to much for me to round them up and in. Next week they move to the big coop, so I will be busy.
