I love succulents, but they always die on me. I think I probably overwater them or don't have them in the right type of soil. I have these small propagated succulents that I'm thinking of moving to a proper pot, but I'm scared to mess it up and accidentally kill them. That's why I try not to touch or mess with them much.
They're currently in sand and in a plastic container with no drainage holes. I keep a plastic bag over the container. I probably water them about every 2 weeks by pouring a small amount of water in the corner of the container.
How do I go about repotting them? Do they need a specific type or size pot? I'm guessing the sand isn't good for them cause it holds too much moisture. And exactly how much and how often do I water them after moving to a new pot. Do I water them after I replant them or do I leave them dry? Do I split up the one with 2 growing from 1 leaf? Is it alright if they only really get direct sunlight in the evenings?
Help me not kill them.

Get some cactus soil. I find mine at the Home Depot. Plant them in porous pots like clay pots. Not too big, not too deep. Pot should be no bigger in diameter than the succulent leaves.

Succulents like to be crowded. Good drainage is important. Let them dry out between watering.

Water every 1-2 weeks during the growing season, and in winter every month or two. Let them dry out. Don't repot them unless absolutely necessary.

They need as much sun as possible, but some do well in indirect lighting.

Succulents thrive on neglect as long as you set them up properly. Most of my plants are cactus and succulents now because I always forget to water my houseplants on a regular basis so it works out for me.
