Sudden blindness

I have a hen who randomly went blind. Her eyes look normal (no cloudiness or discharge) except for one small black speck. She seems a little off balance as well but other than that she doesn't seem sick. I do have another hen that was removed from the coop because she had sour crop. Not sure if the two are related. She eats when I put food in front of her. Any advice would be so helpful.

Can you post a picture of the eyes? When you say one eye has a black speck, do you mean the pupil is small? Was your hen vaccinated for Mareks disease?

No there is a black speck in the colored part of the eye. I can try to send a pic when I get home. I never had them vaccinated..perhaps the breeder did when they were chicks?

I'm wondering how this turned out. I've got one that's suddenly going blind also. She can see large things, like my hand, but she can't see details. She she sees my hand, she snaps at the air hoping for food.
