Thank you, everyone, for your condolences. I'm feeling very sad. We hatched him from an egg ourselves and he was growing up to be the most beautiful boy. I feel like I failed him somehow but I also have a really tender heart. My fiance says we took care of him above and beyond what a normal chicken owner would do and not beat myself up over it. We're keeping a close eye on the other 3 and hopefully, they'll be fine.

It's the hard part of chicken keeping, some just aren't meant for a long life. I know its hard, I've lost some really special birds too. You loved him and that's what matters. I'm very sorry
