Maybe I'm freaking out- maybe not. We just had had a storm roll through, and while rushing around, trying to get the car and things in the garage, I grabbed my roo and put him inside a doghouse inside the garage, with a live trap in front of it for air. He was fine, normal looking, and other than being ripping mad for being so rudly interrupted, ok. His poo has been a bit watery-looking these last few days, but it has been hot, hot, HOT! He has been "panting", but normal appetite, activity level, etc. Anyway- back to today. When I took him out of the doghouse, after the storm had blown through, the top of his comb was dark- not black, but really dark. I'll post pics as soon as I can. There is no apparent injury- and he was only in the doghouse for maybe 20 minutes- till the storm blew over. Could it be stress? Did I do something wrong? We reportedly had 80 mph winds here- if I hadn't done something he would be in the next county!

Please tell me this is only stress and it will return to normal color eventually. My poor roo!

BTW- he is on his favorite perch, looking in the window (my dad is outside with him) with his usual, "Come back out mom! What are you doing in there?" look. He seems fine- other than this new discoloration!

ETA: He is just a wee bit over a year old.

It feels normal, other than it is colder than usual.

Maybe it'll go back to normal after the storms- who knows?
