Sudden death of all my Guineas in one morning but no chickens.

Yes, avocado is toxic to all birds and should be avoided. Yes, technically, macaws eat them in the wild, and it's debatable about what part of the fruit or seed is toxic, but why bother experimenting? Other foods to avoid include caffeine, dairy, chocolate, and alcohol. Although, it might be pretty funny to see a drunk guinea. I've only ever gotten the chickens buzzed on fermented watermelon they drug out from under the coop.

OT, drunk animals do happen naturally. Under the right conditions, berries and fruit will have their sugars convert to alcohol and the wild critters will eat them.

Last year I didn't get a lot of my cherries picked in time. They fermented on the trees. The robins which normally go after anything red pretty much ignored the fermented cherries.

Yeah, I know it occurs naturally. But it's best to not offer it to them freely.
