Sudden Death of Chickens

I had a chicken that was a year old acting normal laying eggs die about a week ago now today I found 2 of my 3 month old hens dead any ideas would help The chickens are in a yard that is 20'X15' with shade screen over the top to prevent exit or entry of hens or other birds and bushes for additional shade there was 24 hens total they have a shed with 16 lay spaces with straw we clean and add straw at least once a month we have an automatic waterer we live in arizona and its been 100 degrees the last week or so we feed them scratch and lay crumbles and vegtables

Wow, that stinks. Mine are about 16 weeks old (I think - I have lost track). I would be mad at this point if they just died, and I had no idea why. Good luck finding out.

A lot more information is needed before any of us could hazard a guess- you've given the age, but what is your setup, especially access to outdoors/run.
Appearse of the dead birds?
Feed?
History of any illnesses/situations?
Use of medications?

Bedding?
