I went to let the ducks out this morning and one of my pekins had passed away. There were no marks on her no missing feathers. She was acting her normal self yesterday. She has bad legs She doesn't move around well. She stayed in the coop mostly. There is fresh food and water and straw daily. I just don't understand She wasn't even 2yr old. I'm scared someone else might be dead tomorrow. I sure hope not. I'm devastated I lost my baby. I can't figure out how to post a pic of her I took a couple days ago. Is there anything I should do? Is it possible they killed her? I assume I'd see evidence. Any ideas or thoughts?

Sorry for your loss. Do you supplement extra niacin (B3) in your ducks? I am more of a chicken person, so will tag a few duck people @Miss Lydia and @Isaac 0 in case they can help you. Your state vet at Cornell can perform a necropsy to help find what may have killed your duck. It is possible that because of her leg issue, she may not have gotten enough food and water.

I worry maybe she choked her head was sticking straight up. She had a bit of a hard time standing so maybe she ate and couldn't get it down? But the pic I took of her a couple days ago she was standing to eat Corn I put down for them. I just don't understand. I lost her sister to a snapping turtle a year ago. She's the one standing with her head up in this pic I took on the 21st. I have niacin I can put in their water and liquid b12.
