I didn’t pay much attention the day before I fed watered and left plus there were 3 identical to her

I guess that means we should check our entire flock? Any tips about what to be poking for when checking for mites?

Check all your birds over carefully for mites. Under the tail feathers/by their vents.

Little black bugs crawling on them, usually on the skin.
Best place to look is around the vents, if they have mites you should see them in that area.

Here are some eggs & mite carcasses in my Faverolles vent feathers. You’ll see them embedded in the feather shafts. Looks ‘dirty’. I caught this early before infestation.
