Questions about a sudden death for our June - Pekin Duck of 2 years.
We let her and her sister out of their large coop & house to their yard (the yard is chicken wire surrounding their coop & house for extra fun). Maybe 4 hours later, she was found outside of the yard and dead. She definitely got out and couldn’t get back in. Absolutely no sign of trauma but she was on her back.
Could she have died of dehydration since she didn’t have access to water? It is about 82, full sun. Or could it have been shock or fear not being able to get back in with her sister??
No dogs out and she was right by the fence as if trying to get back in to the yard. So sad.
