For some strange reason I am only getting about half the eggs I was getting all of a sudden. My pullets are less than 35 weeks old. I did change their scratch recently. I bought a bag of wheat and mix it half and half with regular scratch. The get good laying pellets every morning (more than they can eat) and fresh water every morning (more than they can drink). Could it be the heat? Should I set them up a fan in the hen house? I have 19 pullets and no roosters.

My egg count has dropped also, but our temps got pretty warm really quick. Plus I have like 7-8 broody hens right now, which is part of the problem.

Could they be going through a molt or a mini molt. When mine go through either my egg production drops off. If you see a few feathers they could be mini molting or just taking some time off. Just about any change in their lives can affect them.

You changed the feed. our poultry are very very picky...They will go on boycot if not the same name brand....I'm serious..... Change your feed back, watch your count go up!!!

I am in Maryland and we just had about 3 weeks of rainy/cloudy days. My 6-8 per day dropped to 2-4. I got 6 today after a couple of days of sun. How has your weather been?
