Sudden humidity spike during hatch. Any suggestions?

I have 4 of about 20 eggs hatched. Today is technically day 20 but I have had 4 hatch already and 4 are pipped. All of a sudden, the humidity has spiked to the 80s and my temps have dropped to 95 at this point in time. What's going on and what do I need to do?

absolutely.. the humiidity went up because your chicks that hatched added moisture to the incubator..when they dry off, the humidity should come down and the temp should rise.. If you raise the temp now, when the humidity comes down, your temp would spike..

Thank you! I hadn't seen it spike like that before. The other thing that may have added moisture is the sponge inside. The chicks are all over it, likely getting wet again. And I can see moisture on the eggs from where they walk and lay on them.

60% to 65% is high enough for chickens.. the higher hum% you have is ok, though..
