My hen seems to have an infected eye. Keeping it closed but when I pull her kid down the eye itself looks cloudy, glazed and red or inflamed.
I've separate her from the flock (mostly so I can easily give her treatment) and have flushed her eye as best I can with veterycin wash.
She is drinking and nibbling a bit on some meal worms but mostly is standing and keeping both eyes closed.
Is there anything else I need to do? Is this an infection? None of my hens are mean to each other. They all follow the lead from my rooster so I doubt she was pecked. They all get along extremely well and there's only 5 of them total.

Do you see any bubbles or gunk in the eye when you open it with your fingers? She might have been pecked in the eye or gotten something in there. Certain respiratory diseases can cause swelling around the eye and conjunctivitis. I would flush the eye twice a day with saline eye wash and apply a small dabTerramycin eye ointment in the eye. You may use plain Neosporin triple antibiotic ointment if Terramycin is not available in your feed store.

I am flushing the eye 2-3x daily with veterycin eye wash as well as some homeopathic eye drops. It looks like her inner eyelid is infected. No bubbles or goo, though this morning I was able to wipe away a small milky goobie after a good wash. I think it's pink eye but I can't be certain. She is eating and drinking and mostly resting. I noticed today that she had a weird looking poo. Runny with dark green small lumps. It kind of resembled caviar.

No bubbles or goo. I'm flushing the eye with veterycin and applying terramycin in the eye. She's still able to roost in the coop in her usual spot, although I'm keeping her separated from the rest of the flock during the day. She is eating and drinking but mostly mealworms and water only. She is pretty inactive otherwise, choosing to rest instead of foraging. She also has milky white watery poo with dark green. I picked up some antibiotics at my feed store but it's not Tylan. It's an injectable but can I give it orally? I think I got a little confused at the store, the woman I spoke to gave me a needle but I think she also said I could give it orally. Do I need an oral syringe also? I'm more comfortable giving it to her orally rather than injecting it. I bought oxytetracycline.

Hold off on the antibiotics. She doesn't look sick at all.

No need to separate a bird unless the others are beating her up.
Separating her can cause stress on all of the birds which isn't good.

Please encourage her to eat feed and not just a mealworms because mealworms are high in fat and that's going to be another problem you're going to have to deal with if you continue to offer just mealworms.

Maybe try Ivermectin? I've read that it's good for viruses. I use the horse kind in a tube. Maybe try putting some in her water. It won't hurt her, go by weight, which would mean very little for her. So sorry.

Where did you hear this?

She's acting sick: only resting. Not foraging or standing long. Didn't lay an egg today but did yesterday. I let her out with the flock for a bit yesterday evening and one of the hens was pecking at her. She can't keep up with them either, just stands there. So I think she's more sick than just an eye infection.

I made her mash today which she ate a little of. Otherwise she's not eating much of anything I offer her.

I've been putting her back with the flock at night and she goes in to roost in the coop Kong before the others. I've been separating her bc it also helps me be able to catch her and treat her eye 3x a day. In her tractor she doesn't have to stress about another heb pecking her or where my other animals are. And she can just rest which is what she seems to only be doing.

Get some calcium into her.
You can find Calcium Citrate with D3 in the vitamin aisle of stores like Walmart, CVS, etc. Give 1 tablet daily, just pull down on her wattles, pop the tablet into the beak and let her swallow.

Look inside her beak, are there any lesions or canker?
Crop emptying?
