Usually I’d be totally fine with moving them, but I’m new to bantams ☺️

Our 9-10 week old mixed bantams (some might be a bit younger, but fully feathered) we’re scheduled to move to their grow out coop today. Silkies, D’Uccles, barred somethings, Light Brahma, and two slightly younger large fowl. It’s supposed to drop again to mid 20°s and they’re currently in a greenhouse style hoop coop. The Govee says it gets down to about 35°, but it’s not perfectly under the heat lamp (this is not a topic to be discussed).

Should I put the heat pad cave with them? I don’t really want to put the bullies back in to the brooder to free up a pad though

I'm a little unclear.
Are you saying their current area gets down to 35, and the new one may go down to the mid-20s?

You didn't say how many there are, but if there are more than 6 and they are fully feathered, they will probably be fine with a 10-15 degree drop from what they have previously had.

Or you could wait a day or two, if that would let you move them on a day with warmer temperatures.

Sorry, I get a bit rambly a lot. There’s 14 chicks including the two large fowl that have been outside for a few weeks. Temps usually 40s, dipping into 30s and I’m unsure how warm it was with the lamp. Hard freeze last night and likely tonight, into the mid 20°s.

Hopefully they’ll be ok 🤞🏼 They’re all tucked in with their nightlight (closet LED nightlight) and purring happily
