I went on vacation for a week and my father took care of the chickens. He said everyone looks good. Yesterday morning An Orpington was very lethargic with her head hanging to the ground. I removed her quickly from the others. All of the other girls are beginning to lay for the first time so we thought maybe she was egg bound . We did some Epson salt baths yesterday and she seems to be feeling much better but no egg. I really dont think that’s the problem... if she’s better should I put her back? Thoughts on a possible sickness? I’m confused

Just from the picture it looks like it could be wry neck. That can be caused by vitamin deficiencies, head injuries, and some diseases or ingesting toxins. I would supplement vitamin E, with some egg, tuna or sunflower seeds for selenium (selenium is necessary for uptake of the E), and some B vitamins (a human B complex tablet ground up in some food-B deficiencies can cause some neuro-muscular symptoms), and monitor her eating, drinking, and droppings, to make sure they are normal. If all is looking normal, and she is not being bullied, I would let her back in with the others. Possibly she was being kept from good access to feed by others, watch for that and add feeders if necessary. Any other symptoms, update us.

Poor girl! How is she eating, drinking and pooping? Let me tag some experts for you: @casportpony @Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive
I’ve noticed her poop being solid this am but in very small amounts. I haven’t observed her drinking but she’s eating. Unknown if it’s in “normal” volume. So strange. She looked like she wasn’t going to make it yesterday and this morning she looks fine.

What are you feeding?
I agree with @coach723 her looking like that reminds me of the symptom Wry Neck.
Even though she seems fine this morning, I would still treat her with Vitamin E and B-Complex as described in POST#3 for several days. More specifically - 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet of B-Complex.
