Suddenly sick girl

Pedialyte can be given full strength, but at room temp. You can also give a little sugar water. The picture of her lying down with her head down is serious. Is she unable to raise her head or get up now? Since you said that she was vaccinated for coccidiosis, she should be protected. Some birds still may get coccidiosis. If you use Corid, use the maximum dosage of 2 tsp (10 ml) of the liquid per gallon. Use 1.5 tsp per gallon of the powder. Treat for 5-7 days, but Corid will cancel the coccidiosis vaccine. Are you able to get fluids into her beak?

Are you feeding her any treats? Pull them if you are. Is she eating a lot of grass? Where are the pictures?
The first two pics are her this morning after I brought her into the house and one of her yellow water poops in the background. No grass, but had a new treat yesterday-whole flax seeds. Otherwise just eats Grower feed. 3rd pic is this evening, with her gal pal. Once they were reunited, as well as having Pedialyte much of the day; she was eating and drinking her regular feed-mixed with Feather Fixer feed (for nutrients) and there was absolutely no neck weakness at all. During this tumultuous day, I have arranged to be delivered both medications suggested to me from BYC (Corid & Tylan50) as well as syringes & needles, in case I need any going forward. I also have Penicillin coming in as a just in caser. I’m preparing to do everything in my power for her to live & thrive and hoping tomorrow morning is WAY better than this morning. Right now, she’s sleeping quietly after eating and drinking heartily this afternoon. Don’t know what happened to her and I don’t want to see it happen again. Thank all of you!!!!!

Weird that Corid cancels that vaccine.
