My peacock has suddenly gone silent. He free ranges. Normally he yells a lot about 4 days ago I noticed he’s suddenly quit making any noises. Any advice?

That's normal. They call a lot during the breeding season and are reasonably quiet the rest of the time.

Thank you. I’m very new to peacocks. Yes he was incredibly vocal before. He doesn’t seem to be ill. I appreciate your help

He's probably okay but I'd try to catch him and look him over. When an animal owner notices a change in behavior, it might mean nothing or it could be something. I remember a case where a client brought in a peacock because it was quiet and 'being shy'. So the vet looked him over very carefully and found a piece of hay string wrapped around his thigh and cutting into the skin. After a bit of debriding and flushing the wound the peacock went home to heal. So, it never hurts to get your hands on him and take a look!
