Cynthia, talk about Suede's family tree, I went to a chicken swap here today, and I had given a member/friend of mine a Suede cockerel and pullet, (Brahma mom) about 2 years ago. Well she had the Suede hen with her, and I was going to scoff her up but this other member/new friend nabbed her before me! See, Suede also lives on in Florida!

I remember you sent me a picture of a rooster out of Suede and Caroline. I saved the picture somewhere. He was sooooo handsome! I really love the Orp/Brahma crosses.

Cyn, What's your guess ... with the latest picture? Is Suede and Meg's baby a girl??

Well, it's a bit early to say for sure, Kathy. Has huge legs, but so does its mama. No signs of "maleness" yet, but Orpington males dont usually have huge combs like BRs which help with sexing.

Looks girly to me still, Kathy! That is a qualified statement, though. Sometimes, it's hard to tell with Meg's babies, being so huge.


Um, Kathy, is Fern's baby a shorty? Wow, that is some difference in size! We'll have to have updated pics of those two side by side as they grow. Weird.
