Suet Squares

I have a few suet squares left over from winter bird feeding. Is it OK to give to my silkies for a treat?

I would put them in your freezer and save them for colder weather next winter. As a treat, I think it would be okay, but only in cold weather when they might need the extra energy and fat layer...

(PS: Save 'em in the freezer, because fat/oil goes rancid in warm conditions.)
