Sugar like crystals growing on eggs suddenly. day 16.

Oh man! What a bummer. I will take them out now any idea what could have caused the chicks to die in this to happen? Until now there was movement in the egg this morning I did not see any movement.
Too much egg handling or not sanitizing hands before handling eggs can lead to infected eggs.

Take out the leaking ones and find out if the liquid already infested the incubator. If so, take all eggs out and keep them warm in a towel while cleaning the incubator and disinfecting it, before putting the remaining eggs back and continuing the incubation.

Sniff all the eggs carefully before putting them back, if you notice any foul smell, discard the smelling egg(s).should I clean the whole incubator with rubbing alcohol to really disinfect it?

Should I clean it with bleach or rubbing alcohol?

Only some. A few are ordered online. The online ones are the ones with issues.
I had something similar happen recently with a couple of shipped eggs. The shipping stress can be pretty devastating - it's always disappointing to see embryos that started to develop but quit. Best of luck with your remaining eggs!

Yes. So sad. I wish it would have happened early on! I was super excited.

You can use bleach, but make sure is is not expired or has been open for too long. And rinse thoroughly after use.

These things can happen, glad you noticed in time before they exploded.

Are these eggs of your own flock?
Just sharing for fun! My eggs have started to pip! Three so far. I have been so worried that they would all be sick. But it's a start :')
