Suggestion for "Main Breed Page Submission Form" - OLIVE EGGERS

Hi there!
Well, I hope this is the right place to post... I looked all around and it seemed the most appropriate spot. So here goes...
I am interested in creating a page for Olive Eggers on the Main Chicken Breeds Index Page. Unfortunately, Olive Eggers was not listed as a selection in the "Breed" drop down menu... so I was unable to create one.

I do realize that Olive Eggers are a mixed breed and that may be why it is not listed. But I also noted that many of the other chicken breeds listed in this "Breed" drop down menu are also mixed breeds. That got me thinking that perhaps the reason Olive Eggers are not listed yet is just because they have only recently become popular.
So, I am interested in finding out if there is a way to get Olive Eggers added to the "Breed" list?
Their Dark Green, Olive, Khaki and Mossy Green egg colors are such a wonderful, different and fun egg color addition. I think this really sets them apart from any of the other listed breeds... and I also feel they are worthy of a spot on the Main Chicken Breeds Index Page.

Are Olive Eggers the same as Easter Eggers? I think they are...

Many breeders are working with specific breeds to produce hens that lay egg a very different egg color. Breeding Dark Brown Egg Layer Breeds like Marans, Welsummers, Barnevelder and Penedesenca with Blue Egg Layer Breeds like Ameraucana and Araucana (and dare I add, Easter Eggers!). They are getting eggs in amazing colors... olive, mossy green, khaki and dark green... and well, I think that sets them apart from Easter Eggers.
I think they are a wonderful project and that they deserve separate recognition.

I'm not sure that olive eggers can really be differentiated from easter eggers...it's a good point, though! To we, who are working on them, they are. However, they are actually not a "breed" - EEs are actually miscolored Ameraucanas. But they ARE pure Ameraucanas. The colors have just been mixed. Good question, I'm not sure on this one!

We've gone back and forth regarding how "exclusive" the list should be. Do we only do certified / official breeds, or open it up to all kinds of "mutts"... sorry... "new crosses & lines"

or somewhere in between?

Yes, this is a tough one... hmmmm.
I see OliveEggers like I see Goldendoodles (Golden Retriever x Poodle mix). They are a mix that offers something special... these sweet doggies have a sweet temperment and non-shedding coat making them a great pet for people with allergies... especially kiddos. Lots of people pay a hefty sum of money for these "mutts"... and lot's of serious breeders work really hard to create them.
I see OliveEggers like that... they too have something very special and very different to offer... something that you can't get anywhere else. Their lovely dark egg colors... that is what sets them apart from the rest of the "mutts" out there. Unlike other barnyard mixed breeds of chickens, people are searching Olive Eggers out and paying good money for them... and serious breeders are working on them and putting together special breeding pens just for them.
I guess it's tough deciding where to draw the line with what all gets included as a breed on the site... so, I'll leave it up to you all... it's your site afterall... and I'm done going on and on about them.
