I have a special occasion coming up and I'd like to make quail, partly to celebrate and partly to see if we like it before deciding whether or not to get some. I'll be picking up live 8-week old males, so any preparation is doable (I've never butchered quail, but I figure they can't be too different from chickens, right?). I'm not a chef, but I am pretty handy in the kitchen. Wine pairings also welcome, but I can ask at the wine shop, if needed.
