Suggestions for sowing/planting in my chicken run?

Once you find something they don't like to eat, the trick is to keep the root area protected. I use bricks, logs and big stones. Mine don't eat any variety of mint--which is great because it grows quickly and there are a lot of different "colors". They don't bother with the lavender, roses or the small evergreens or the lilac bush. The roots on all of those things are well protected. Also in their run are a couple grazing frames with clover, grass and oats growing in them!

I see yours left the hostas alone.... my chickens have obliterated my hostas in my entire back yard. They are still alive but need transplanted somewhere safe this fall, especially since I need to free range my birds. I don't have the run space for how many I have currently.
