We are interested in adding a few chickens with out Guinea Fowl. The chickens will be housed separate from my guinea's. I am looking for a friendly type chicken that will be ok in a small group and that lays a decent amount of eggs but is not overwhelming.
Any suggestions?

I highly recommend a Dominique, they are very friendly, gentle and easygoing and lay a fairly good supply of eggs maybe 4 a week, give or take. My dominiques do well with my other breeds of chickens.

You should know that the guinea will booly your chickens relentlessly if they will be together.

I would go with red or black sex-links. They are very friendly, lay lots of eggs, get along with each other. You are housing them separately from your guineas right?

Yes that is my plan. Question, do the eggs have to be collected every day? And would they get along with the Guineas if they were free roam and just housed separately?

The problem with them is a high percentage of them die from reproductive disorders. I have had problems with mine being over-friendly to the point of aggression to humans. I like friendly birds, but I don't appreciate it when said bird leaves scars on my legs due to its curiosity.

I'd also recommend Dominiques, or for a cold climate, Chanteclers.
For warm climates, Leghorns are a good bet. They are thrifty on feed, good layers, and range wary.

Yes, the eggs should be collected daily. I've done every other day in cool weather but that gets risky.
I doubt it. Every situation is different, though.

That did come to mind. I've never had a problem with it but there's always a first.

Just one warning about Easter Eggers:

I have noticed EE's have a higher % of getting Cross Beak.
I think it may have something to do with them being mutts, cross-bred between a Arucana(correct me if I'm wrong)and another breed of any kind.

Any one with more experince with the Easter Egger breed, Correct me if I am wrong.
