Suggestions on how to move a coop?

We have one of the Amish-built 6-8 hen houses (typical two windows; one end person door, other end pop hole and exterior-access hinged-lid nest boxes type). Anybody ever move one of these things with just people power? We've recently cleared some trees and want to relocate the coop there, but the terrain is such that skids might not work there, and I'm worried we might snap off the supports if we try to drag it. Any guesses if 6 people could lift it/walk it twenty yards or so if we put three two-by fours underneath and tried to walk it across the lawn? I'm going to feel really silly gathering a bunch of friends for the move and finding we can't budge it ...

Sounds to me like you don't have any choice but to get help lifting!! No skid so what other option is there??? Without pictures or knowing what it weighs no one here can give you anymore options unless you can use pipe to roll it.

Large tractor with a loader, rig a sling pick it up and move it. No pictures or size info it is really hard say what your options are ????

Very much like this. Was delivered and put in while I wasn't there, so I don't have a feel for how heavy it actually is. There are still several stumps near the relocation site so the options for a tractor are limited.
