Crowing
I'm not looking for a total elimination of hen party chatter, nor am I trying to run a "stealth coop" by any means, but since I'm increasing my flock size from four bantams to around 9-12 standards, I'm anticipating an increase in general flock noise when they get a bit older.
I'm not worried about my neighbors complaining, but since I'm still in the design stage of my custom coop, I wanted to take them into consideration with regards to both smell and noise, etc... Will not have to worry about roosters, as any cockerels that show up in hatchings will be culled by either rehoming or eating.
Anybody have any good tips for dampening noise?
