Sometimes mother nature takes care of the weaker ones and it is better if they don't make it. Still doesn't make it any easier on us though

Well, it seems that whole clutch was not that great. I honestly think that the hens who laid those eggs were not in the best health. Out of 15, 11 hatched- out of those 11, the one died after zipping but not kicking free, 2 were born with wry neck and both died, 1 was born with it's intestines on the outside, 1 has splayed legs but is still moving, eating and drinking at last check. There are only 6 lil chicks that remotely resemble normal and I am not giving up hope that they stay that way.

Needless to say, I will not be buying eggs from that particular breeder again!
