Suggestions please?? One chicken hasn't laid in 9-10 weeks

Whilst you have not seen any evidence of worms, I would personally de-worm the flock. Many worms cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Last week my flock went on egg- laying strike. I had not seen evidence of worms, but thought I'd de-worm them. This is what I found on my front door steps a few hours later

They are just beginning to resume laying.

Thanks, Aart - it's from a series of animated character programmes I used to watch as a kid in the UK. Mr. Bump, Mr. Silly, etc etc.

Yes, I was very shocked not to have seen any evidence of such whopping roundworms in any poo (and I do take more than a passing interest in such things - I think we all do :))

No, not your avatar, the quote in your signature.

Usually round worms are one of the things you can see in poops.
Tho it makes sense that you'll see a lot more if you give them worming meds,
flushes 'em all out.

Course - it's been one of those days in my tiny mind - gotcha ;)

Considering the worm load in that particular poo, I'm surprised not have seen evidence of them earlier. To be fair, it could have been one particular bird that had such a massive worm-load

Maybe the term 'siggy' is not familiar?

One nice thing about poop boards, easy to keep an eye on poops.
Have never seen evidence of worms and have never wormed....
....maybe a mistake, but that is such a slippery slope.
