Both of the posters talking about measurements are located in the USA.
The common measuring spoons and measuring cups used in home kitchens in the USA work like this:
3 teaspoons per 1 Tablespoon
4 Tablespoons per 1/4 cup
16 Tablespoons per 1 cup
48 teaspoons per 1 cup
(Spoons sold to actually eat food with can be very different, and other countries may have other measuring systems or different ratios between sizes.)
