I Just built a nice big pen only to find out the something climbed up during the night and ate the legs off of four of my quail from the bottom, i used half inch galvanized hardware cloth!! HELP
I was going to wrap the bottom with lattice making the front removable to clean, any thoughts please?

Add another layer of HWC several inches lower. Or wrap the legs/ base with HWC to prevent predator from accessing the bottom. Good luck

If you add a second layer below the floor I would use something bigger than 1/2" hardware cloth. Either 1/2" x 1" or possibly 1x2". This way the droppings don't get stuck on it.
