How is everyone? I have a question.... is anyone having trouble moving culls/extra eggs? I can't hardly give the Sulmtalers away free! Is it where I'm at? Anyone?
I havent gotten to the point yet of selling, mine are only a month old. I think a lot of the problem is that they are so new, not a lot of people know about them and there is not a lot of hype or "marketing" going on about them. I started the facebood page in hopes of increasing interest in them. We have members there from the USA, the UK and the Netherlands. Both those countries have a Sulmtaler club and they show their birds in the poultry shows. I can imagaine if I was trying to sell mine right now I would be in the same boat as you, and as you can see, this thread has been pretty much dead for a while. I am impressed with these chicks, they hatched strong! Have great personality, are calm and friendly. I think it will just take time for the craze to hit like it did with the cream legbars, they have a club now and have done a lot of work to promote their breed.
Sulmtaler owners, write a review if you get a chance. It will give others a chance to hear about this breed and help them decide if Sulmtalers is the right breed for them to add to their flock. Here is the link to do a review. https://www.backyardchickens.com/products/sulmtaler-austrian-origin
