There is a toe punch made for baby chicks that puts a little hole in the web between there toes I think its about $4.00 and most of the poultry supply stores online sell them. Toe punching will give you 16 different ways to mark your chicks.

Just be mindful when toe punching and monitor them for a few days...the hole will sometimes fill back in.
THere is a toe punch that is a little more expensive that gets better review for keeping the hole open. I do not have either and have not tired either model, so why one is bettter than another would only be a guess on my part.

Vet wrap stays on better than zipties on my birds.

The Hova Bator Genesis,
In the description says that it comes with the temp preset at 99.5°. Is the temp control adjustable?

Eric,
As someone has said, the temp is adjustable. However, I have never adjusted ours and it works wonderfully at 99.5
Just wanted to share that.
Best,

Thank y'all very much, I appreciate the help. I want to get another bator and I had read a review that stated their genesis averaged 102°-103° and that made me want to hear from someone that knows how to use a genesis.
Thank you, Eric
