I'm getting some Sultans this week (so excited - they are shipping tomorrow). I have an all Bantam flock, and think Sultans are so beautiful. Anyone have Sultans and is there anything in their care - like heat or cold tolerant - what do you different for them, etc., that you can share?

New babies! So exciting!

I wanted to get some Sultans this year, but there were not any local breeders who had 'em.

Enjoy your Sultans and keep 'em warm in the winter (depending on where you live).

And please post pics when you get 'em!!!!!!!

I will definitely post pics. Of course, I told my husband I was not getting any more chickens...WHO WAS I KIDDING? It's "only" five cute, adorable little Sultans.

We could be addicted to far worse things than chickens.

keep them warm in the winter. Their crests get wet when they drink and it will freeze their combs/heads. They also get dirty east(especially the white ones) because of their feet feathers and their crests constantly being wet and then they peck things off the ground and getting dirty and muddy.

They are still a lot of fun though. They are cute and they can be flighty but they are otherwise fairly tame.
