Is this gout? My rooster and some hens have it. My rooster has had this since at least, last summer. Many in my flock have developed it or gotten worse this winter. But not all of my breeds have it (like Polish)...
If so, what can I do for them?

New to the group. So happy I found you!

The feet look very irritated and the ankle joints look enlarged. Is there any chance of frostbite? There may be some scaly leg mites and possible mycoplasma synovitis (MS) instead of gout. Gout causes large lumpy toes and feet, while MS causes swollen ankle and hock joints. If the temps are not below freezing, I would put some vaseline on the feet to treat for scaly leg mites at least twice a week.
