Sumatra Thread!

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR EVERYONE! I NEED ADVICE/HELP
I bought a pair of sumatra/asil crosses. They look like Sumatra but a bit more gamey. The rooster is soo aggressive he tore part of the skin on the hens head. They are siblings. How can I get him to be less aggressive. They are only 2-3 months old and he already has a long tail. I really like them and wish they get along. They are separated but can still see each other.

Just keep them separated until they are more mature or until you want to breed them. Perhaps by then he will recognize that the hen is not a threat to his maleness but rather a proof to it.

Thanks Troyer. The guy I bought them from said they would be aggressive but I really didn't think so. He had set pairs already but I took about 2 hours choosing my male and pullet. He said that the set pairs wont fight but by mixing them up they will. Its my first experience with such blood. I will post some pictures soon so everyone here can let me know what they think.

(said the asil blood made them aggressive)

I really don't have experience with Asil and so won't offer advice but
I would love to see pictures of them. Hope your cockerel settles down
and accepts the pullet.

Had a nice rainy day yesterday. Yesterdays gloom and some mist has carried over to today. Plants are happy. Kids also enjoyed some of the light rain yesterday.

We finally got more rain but also 70 mph winds again so we lost power and the plants were whipped around and trees everywhere were uprooted. There were even a few new fires started due to down powerlines
