Ok I'm wanting to build a tall open air coop/pen for my pair. Planning on 4x8 wide as it will be an addon to an exterior wall. Would 5' be deep enough or should it need to be longer? They will be free ranging the yard most of the day.

The reply portion of the page has an "Insert Image" Icon on the left of the
bottom row. Click on it, go to browse on your computer, then open that image you want!
I am not sure, but the old BYC website wouldn't let you post images until you had reached 10
or so posts. So keep posting some more or check the rules for posting pics & it should tell
you how many you need to be able to......

I haven't scanned through all the pages of this thread yet - only have uase of a public computer - but I ordered some mixed-breed chicks from Sand Hills Preservation, and he filled out the order with 7 'Auburn Sumatras'...and I just can't find any photos of auburns. They're about 4 1/2 weeks old, and there's some Golden Lakenvelders in there, too - just to make identifying them interesting. Anyone have or know whereof I might see some photos of Auburn Sumatras?

thank you i will try that.yes i am iv 9 chicks out from my pair.i had 6 hens and a cock but they all got mauled buy the dog and left me with only one hen.i purchased a bird from a man claiming he was a sumatra cock but he deffo has sumting else in his blood.he is a nice bird and i have bred him to my hen i will try get pics up
