Sumatra Thread!

Ok, so i have a khaki roo on two black hens, and it appears to me that the chicks are all somewhere in between blue and black, would i be correct in saying this??

nevermind this, just looked at em again and they all all duns

Two bottom pictures are full sisters. Blue Sumatra pullets. Pictures #1 and #2 are the same pullet.

I have several that look just like them. Nice looking pullets

I have some questions about this bird. She came from McMurray, supposed to be a BR, looked just like the rest of the BR chicks, but... is some form of Black Sex Link... but she resembles some of the birds on this thread. The green in her face is real, I did not alter the color of any of the photos. I need to get her out in the proper daylight to show all the colors in her feathers, blue, purple, green... This pullet belongs to friends of mine so I didn't take chances of her getting away..

thanks, they've named her Boots, she's 16 weeks 3 days. I took lots of pics of her, but because we were in the pen, and it was cloudy, lots of them are just so dark... but she has incredible purple, blue and green iridescent coloring on her feathers. I noticed the yellow bottom of the foot when I was reviewing the photos, when I do get back over to visit again, my friends will set up a "photo pen" so I can get individual shots out in the light.
I got a box of 26 chicks as a rescue, they were mis-shipped and rather than let them die... I took them and rehomed all but 9. The folks who own Boots took 6 of the chicks, built an awesome "covered wagon" coop and they are all thriving... I love a happy ending

i say more Austrolop or Jersey Giant then sumatra her body type, tail, and head or nothing like a correct sumatra!!

australorps have pinkish white and giants have yellow
