Thanks!! I have always love the Sumatra, and lucked into these birds, He is very small in comb and doesn't have a ton of red, just the way I like it!!! And the girls are very nice as well. Still trying to get used to the splash though, she is growing on me! Not sure what dun and splash will do together, could make mud

Dun and Blue go really good together. If a bird gets one copy of each, they will be really light, like a splash (without so much black flecks) but not the same color.

Both colors are basically the same type gene, that is, they are both co-dominant.

A blue with 2 copies is called splash
A dun with 2 copies is called khaki.
I think if a bird has one of each, they call that platinum.

I have had some phoenix in dun red and dun gold before, but haven't seen it in Sumatras yet. Looks nice.
Congrats!

Thanks so much for the info.. I have 2 sets of 4 eggs each in the bator from the two dun birds, all are fertile, the first 4 go to the hatcher Wed. I can not wait to see what I get WooooWhoooo!!!

I only have 2 black sumatras and they are quite friendly to say the least. One of them is always jumping on my shoulder or my arm and talking to me. Both of them follow me around and always have their eyes on me when I am doing stuff in their coop. They are by far my most "loving" birds.

we had 2 pullets 2 cockrels we showed at 4h 1 pullet got grand in asiatic cay. the judge said our other 3 werent worth keeping to use for breeding so i got rid of them and am looking for a couple pullets and a cockrel, we live in ill. our pullets both were freindly the cockrells were ok with us so far but were getting agressive with the other boys and when they got in with the girls they were getting bad they werearound 4 m.
