Summer allergies

I have 6 hens which are almost 2yrs old and were purchased from the same place at the same time. Only 1 coughs only during the summer months. Poor thing, what can I do to help her?

How does she act?

She might have a respiratory disease.

G’Day from down under Bytchickens Welcome!

My gals will sneeze and cough occasionally during summer also; they are otherwise happy and healthy and some are coming up to 5 years old. I believe with them it is just due to the drier ground and dust that they scratch, bath in and kick around.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.
