Wow Majack! THose were amazing! Such imagination!!As Kat said, she, Rosie and I have been doing this kind of swap for several years. I've done it longest and now have five little quilts from all over the world including Tasmania. To give you an idea, go to anotherlittlequiltswap.com and you can see the quilts that have been swapped over the years and see how the swap works. Some of them are magnificent and have been done by well known Quilters but don't be put off. The rest of us are just ordinary but we do our best.
Share something about yourself if you like. Do you have chickens
It's nice to meet another military wife! I'm Karen and my husband served 20 years in the air force. It sounds like you have a beautiful family and a wonderful life. And your work is very good! Thank you for sharing the picture. Your flag quilt is awesome! We do have chickens. We recently moved home after bein gone for 26 years... hubby is retirin from the ARMY.. We came home to 150 acres that is mostly a blank slate for us to do what we want to. So. Within the first month of bein home we got 19 chicks for eggs and 25 for meaties. Then a few weeks ago we got us two hen turkeys and six poults, four rabbits.. and chicken maths lol! Mama wanted get hubby a few "top hats" for fathers day cause they make him laugh. And anything that makes him happy and laugh is a wondrus thing now a days. He was special forces and gone a LOT on a lot of crummy journeys so smiles and laughter are hard to come by now. But slowly i see his beautiful smile more and hear his laughter ringin in my ears. And i think ahhhh the best sound ever! We almost have the chicken palace done... it is a nearly tinny home built to code cause hubby doesn't do small or halfway stuff lol! Anyhoo. We have three grown boys.. two dil and a precious two month old gramdson that lives too far away.

I always have a sock in the works cause they are a small carry around project. I need be decidin on what i wanna make for christmas this year. That is always hard for me. Our one dil put in her order for a sweater... "a big, soft, maman huggy kinda sweater. For the days when i need a hug from you and don't feel like leavin me house".. so i started her a sweater. Lol. I love to do handwork either embroidery or piecin, knittin and i am a spinner, crochet and of course quiltin. We are in NC for good now.![]()
Well so nice to meet you and thank your husband for his service. Your work is beautiful. We will also need to see pics of your coop and chicken math doesn't take long. What kind of Turkey's do you have I get the Broad Breasted kind they make wonderful meat birds and the only ones I get for the freezer camp. Sounds like you well on your way to the easy life. My hats off to you for staying and sticking by your husband during his service. I too was in the Army and know that is not really an easy life.We do have chickens. Thank your husband for his service. My brother was in the Air Force 20 years and they now live in Alaska. If it wasn't for the cold I'd move up there. My DH and I went up there a few years back via the cruise ending destination was Anchorage and then stayed for a nice long over due visit. It's nice to meet another military wife!
