Summer Quilt block swap - We use similar colors, but each pick a different block

You can send them to her any time you want. Try and put Del, Com on them the PO seems to take better care of things when they have to check them out. lol

Ooooo..... Pretty fabric, ginbart!

I got a splash of ambition, and finished all my blocks the other night. Is it too early to send my blocks in, or should I wait until a deadline is established?

So ladys, I may change my block. I worked all weekend, cut out my pieces and got one block done. But since I have them cut I'll see how long it takes me now that I'm home and sitting in my chair without my back hurting.

I came home yesterday from my weekend away and then had to go clean an office. I was so tired when I came home and I didn't close my chicken coop door, well I should say the barn door because that's where they are. I went out there this morning and my momma that was laying on eggs is gone, the eggs are gone. Feathers all over the place. I'm sick about it, it's my fault for not going out there and my chicken with the back leg is gone also, It's going to be a crying day for me.

Sure wish had joined BYC earlier and seen this, I would love to join one, if anyone decides to do it again I would be IN!!!! I hope you all post your completed projects, I am so jelous. I will subscibe to this thread and hope to see pics in the future

oh, that's horrible about the chickens, ginbart. But don't beat yourself up too badly. If something is determined to get your birds, it will do it's best to make a way. I had a critter dig under a fence and go into my chicken coop , in spite of the traps placed along the perimeter. It is heartbreaking.

Hi folks.
Gin, I am so sorry to hear about you broody. Tragic. I am sure you are heartbroken, but I agree with shamblecross. Try as we might nothing we love is ever 100% safe from harm.
It always seems to be the "favorite" chickens, too.

I have not been on BYC much lately.
Garden expansion and coop building, band practice 3 or 4 nights a week. Honestly, my right hand is so sore from playing bass & stapling hardware cloth I am concerned I will not be able to move my fingers by the time our first gig comes around on Saturday.

I will get to the blocks, the coop is almost done - one more day of tweaking & 2 sides of hardware cloth & the girls can move in. Too bad the weather looks less than cooperative for coop building this week.

Ha! As soon as I clicked "submit" I went to wake up the kiddos for school - both have fevers and it is raining. Maybe I can get some blocks done today. The house is clean... no way to garden or work on the coop... band practice isn't til 8...

Balefire,

What kind of ducks are they, my daughter came home from work the other day with 2 just like those pictured and said one of her coworkers had given them to her kids for easter and did not want them anymore. How sad, I will gladly introduce them to my flock.

Ladies,

I pulled out my fabric the other day and have it ready to start putting them together. I am using up my batik scraps so they will not all be the same color. Happy sewing!
